If you’re looking to add an extraordinary statement piece in our new house, or if you are remodeling, consider a one-of-a-kind masonry wood fireplace that will cook your dinner while it’s heating your home.
Russell Buksa, from RNB Works, does all types of masonry work, including concrete finishing, sand cement stucco, lime stucco and any type of stone. He has been in business for 42 years, and in this time has worked on some amazing projects.
But his favourite piece is a wood burning fireplace that he built in a Brisco home that includes an oven right in the structure. This is unique in the way that the oven is heated from the fireplace directly below it, not in the oven itself.
“You can cook bread, pizza or even steak in it,” says Russell. “It’s awesome!”
It took Russell almost 3 months to complete this masterpiece from bottom to top, using over 3,000 masonry blocks and firebricks.
“I enjoy being around good people, I enjoy the work and enjoy seeing the finished product,” says Russell.
